Kitchen Information

We have two types of kitchens to meet all your event needs.

Community Kitchen vs Commercial Kitchen

Community Kitchen

Self-catering, non-ticketed events*, hotel guests

Included

Good for pot-lucks, family reunions, self-catered weddings, non-ticketed events

Commercial Kitchen

Caterers & personal chefs

Has requirements**

Good for ticketed retreats, event catering, and personal chefs

* Any event that people pay a fee to attend, and food is included in that fee, is considered paid cooking and must use the Commercial Kitchen, per health code. **Person with ServSafe Manager certification must be present during Commercial Kitchen use. Caterer or chef must provide certificate of insurance.

Community Kitchen

The Community Kitchen is a large, shared space in the Main Lodge that allows guests to cook for themselves. For events that are not charging a fee for food and are not hiring a chef or caterer, then the Community Kitchen is for you. We try to provide all the cookware needed, though guests will need to bring all food with them (including oils and spices). See below for a list of what’s provided and a photo gallery. Please note: if guests are paying an event fee and food is included in that fee, then that’s considered the same thing as paying for the food directly, which requires use of the commercial kitchen per health regulations.

The commercial ice machine makes ice quickly, but if you are planning to fill coolers or similar with ice you’ll likely need to bring bags of ice with you.
