Room occupancy limits can be extended during events by bringing air mattresses, bed sharing with small children, and adding camping. Often larger groups simply have some guests stay in the many nearby AirBnbs or similar.

Events of 2+ nights Include all 17 rooms/suites, 1-day events include the venue only and accommodations must be booked separately. Weddings cost extra, scroll down for additional details. There is a $60/room cleaning fee, no additional hidden charges. If guests are paying for rooms, room rates can be set by the host to reduce or eliminate host costs. Need help calculating costs? See our pricing examples or reach out for a custom quote. **20% 7-day savings applies to week-long stays that start/end on any day except Saturday. Non-refundable deposit of $2000 required at booking. Final payment, event insurance (~$170), and $1,000 refundable damage deposit due 1 month before event. Alcohol is allowed, but ticketed events with alcohol, cash bars and liquor require a simple $50 permit. Camping/RVs require a free county permit.

Weddings on this sacred land are quite magical, and Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat provides a great value. We charge a bit more for weddings for a number of good reasons, but we think the cost is very reasonable for this wonderful space.
