Room occupancy limits can be extended during events by bringing air mattresses, bed sharing with small children, and adding camping. Often larger groups simply have some guests stay in the many nearby AirBnbs or similar.

Weddings on this sacred land are quite magical, and Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat provides a great value. We charge a bit more for weddings for a number of good reasons, but we think the cost is very reasonable for this wonderful space. Come see for yourself why we’ve quickly become a sought-after and affordable wedding destination!

If guests are paying for rooms, room rates can be set by the host to reduce or eliminate wedding costs. Need help calculating costs? Final payment, event insurance (~$170), and $1,000 refundable damage deposit due 1 month before event. Alcohol is allowed, but cash bars and liquor require a simple $50 permit. Camping/RVs require a free county permit.
